Week 1: What is an Estuary? ~ June 1st - 5th
This week, campers will discover what makes an estuary so special through hands-on experiments, games, and outdoor exploration. They’ll learn about salinity, habitats, and the plants and animals that call these unique ecosystems home.

Week 2: Benthic Animals & Detritus ~ June 8th - 12th
Campers will dig into the muddy world beneath the water to uncover benthic animals and the important role of detritus. Through interactive activities, they’ll explore decomposition, habitat building, and the tiny organisms that keep the ecosystem thriving.

Week 3: Estuary Fish ~ June 16th-19th
This week focuses on the fascinating fish of the estuary, from how they are built to how they survive. Campers will explore fish anatomy, behavior, camouflage, and migration through creative projects and outdoor investigations.

Week 4: Birds of the Estuary ~ June 22nd-26th
Campers will take to the skies (with binoculars!) to learn about the birds that live in and visit estuaries. They’ll discover how birds eat, build nests, and survive, while practicing observation skills and sharing their favorite feathered friends.
