Florida is more than beaches and sunshine.

It’s home to delicate, interconnected ecosystems that directly impact our water quality.  'Learning to Flow with Florida' is a community presentation that explores what’s affecting our waterways and ecosystems—and how we, as residents, can help protect them.  Perfect for HOA meetings, libraries, and neighborhood gatherings.  Let’s learn how to better flow with Florida.

Michelle Starr is the Environmental Programs Coordinator at the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center's Englewood location, where she leads and coordinates community education initiatives designed to foster environmental stewardship. A Florida Master Naturalist with expertise in freshwater and marine systems, Michelle develops and delivers educational programs including public lectures, guided hikes, field trips, seagrass wading experiences, and hands-on volunteer opportunities such as land management, water quality testing, and fundraising events. She brings several years of experience as an eco-tour guide in Gasparilla Sound and Lemon Bay and holds a Bachelor of Science in Complementary Medicine, which informs her holistic perspective on the vital connection between ecosystems health, clean water, and human well-being. Through education and engagement, Michelle is dedicated to empowering communities to become informed stewards of the natural world.
