Our fundraisers and events allow us to continue to execute our core mission: to educate, inspire people of all ages, helping each one to learn to interact in environmentally responsible ways and improving their thinking through positive connections with nature. Our 9th annual Harvest for the Harbor event, scheduled to be held on November 15, 2024 at the Sheraton 4 Points in Punta Gorda has been cancelled so our community may focus on storm assessment, mitigation and recovery. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and sound. We deeply appreciate your support of CHEC.
Trek for CHEC is on hiatus until the end of 2025 or beginning of 2026. Stay tuned for news on the next Trek for CHEC event. Information will be provided as soon as it is available.

Our annual Halloween event at Cedar Point in 2024, scheduled to take place weekly from 6 pm to 9 pm most Saturdays in October, has been cancelled due to the recent storms. We're grateful for your support of CHEC, and hope to see you all again in 2025!
Earth Day is one of the most important environmentally visible events observed each year on April 22. CHEC celebrates Earth Day and holds events at both locations. The Giving Challenge is a 24-hour virtual giving event that brings together nearly 700 local nonprofit organizations with their passionate donors and community members to support causes and missions they care about while creating transformative impact.
During each Giving Challenge event, your donation to CHEC, up to $100.00, will be matched, once again, 1:1, by the Patterson Foundation. Your participation in this online fundraiser helps us continue to grow and expand programs and events that align with our core mission.
