Join CHEC at Cedar Point for a 2-hour nighttime seagrass wading adventure. There are twelve trips scheduled, beginning on October 31, 2023 and ending on October 29, 2024. Birds are amazing animals with their gorgeous plumage, beautiful songs, and the gift of flight. Florida is blessed with nearly 550 species of birds! Join CHEC and Michael Weisensee in exploring the outdoors in search of these feathered wonders. During each 5-week course (Winter and Spring), the fundamentals of birding will be covered. Each course will begin with a classroom session at Cedar Point and continue with field trips in various locations. Program fee is $95.00 per person. Registration is limited to 7 adult participants in each course. Courses with less than 3 participants are subject to cancellation. Check back for upcoming courses during the 2024-2025 season!
Join CHEC and the Englewood Fishing Club's lifelong fishermen for a 3-hour Family Fun Saturday fishing clinic. Every quarter at Cedar Point, we will learn the basic fishing knots, fishing rod casting techniques, fish handling and the saltwater fishing regulations. Program fee is $10.00 per person. Child participants must be 6 years, or older. All fishing equipment is included and supplied by the Florida Youth Conservation Commission Network.
