Wading, Birding, Fishing & More!

Pure fun for children and adults. We provide a variety of public, private (paid) adventures during the day, and sometimes at night, at Cedar Point!  Register online today!

Embrace your inner nocturnal side and join CHEC at Cedar Point for a 2-hour nighttime wading adventure through the seagrass beds of Lemon Bay!  Search for, catch & release sea creatures.  Learn about unique aquatic plants and animals with help from a CHEC naturalist.  Program fee is $15.00 per person plus a small service processing fee.  Advance registration is required!  All Nighttime wading trips will begin close to sunset on the last Tuesday night of each month from October to April.  Limited to 12 participants per trip. Trips with less than 6 participants are subject to cancellation by CHEC. Sign up today!

Refund policy for cancellations initiated by participants:  50% will be refunded for cancellations made at least ten days prior to the course start date.  Sorry - no trip date exchanges!

Birds are amazing animals with their gorgeous plumage, beautiful songs, and the gift of flight.  Florida is blessed with nearly 550 species of birds!  Join CHEC and Michael Weisensee in exploring the outdoors in search of these feathered wonders.  During this 5-week course the fundamentals of birding will be covered.

Each course will begin with a classroom session at Cedar Point Environmental Park  and continue with field trip sessions in various birding hotspot locations. Program fee is $95 per person. Registration is limited to 7 adult participants at each course.  Courses with less than 3 participants are subject to cancellation by CHEC.

Join CHEC and the Englewood Fishing Club's lifelong fishermen for a 3-hour Family Fun Saturday fishing clinic.  Every quarter at Cedar Point, we will learn the basic fishing knots, fishing rod casting techniques, fish handling and the saltwater fishing regulations.  Program fee is $10.00 per person.  Child participants must be 6 years, or older.  All fishing equipment is included and supplied by the Florida Youth Conservation Commission Network.  Check back for upcoming events during the 2024-2025 season!
