The Neighborhood Land Conservancy's mission is to acquire and permanently conserve neighborhood land in North Port AND surrounding areas, and to further education and research about neighborhood wildlife, native plants, trees and soil as our population continues to grow at a rapid pace.

About the event
Join us for environmentally themed lectures and discussions by experts in their fields. Tickets are $10.00 per person, pre-paid, plus a small processing fee. Held at the Visitors' Center. Seating is limited, so register today! // Barbara Lockhart is a Florida Master Naturalist, and Director and Treasurer of The Neighborhood Land Conservancy (formerly the Environmental Conservancy of North Port and Surrounding areas). Barbara grew up in Port Charlotte in Charlotte County, having moved there in 1972 at the age of 3, and relocated to North Port in 2002. She is a University of Florida Master Naturalist/Land Steward, a Florida Registered Paralegal and is the founder of the Conservancy. She enjoys outdoor nature photography and provides much of the photographic content in our local social media.
