Earth Day 2024

PUNTA GORDA:  Be sweet on the planet this Earth Day! The Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center in Punta Gorda will hold its annual Earth Day event on Saturday, April 20th from 9 am to 1 pm. Featuring a native plant and bake sale, there will be a beautiful selection of plants to incorporate into your home landscape that will also benefit local wildlife. Not to mention, delicious baked goods and fresh lemonade.  There will be educational exhibits featuring Florida wildlife as well as Vertical Oyster Gardening.  Don’t miss taking a stroll through the brand new Butterfly Sanctuary.  There is something for everyone to enjoy at CHEC this Earth Day! CEDAR POINT:  This is a free fun family-friendly event with local environmental exhibits, crafts, games, animal encounters, bounce house, food, a guided walk and keynote speakers.  Every local environmental organization will be showcasing an interactive and engaging activity or game that is centered around a conservation project they are working on in 2024.  As part of the station they will include a presentation of their accomplishments of the project so far.  Event participants who complete four or more stations will win a free native plant!  There will also be a food station and various environmentally themed keynote speakers available throughout the event.  ~  For more information please contact us at 941-475-0769 or email Sponsor this event!
