Who Volunteers? We are fortunate to have a rich diversity of volunteers here at CHEC, Inc. Over the years we've had volunteers, coming from all over the world and all different ages, grace us with their services. They find us with their internal compass, guided by their passion for all things natural. We value all work for CHEC and understand the joy in the process.
Where? at our sites or off-site, depending on the duty... Alligator Creek, Cedar Point Park, or anywhere inbetween.
When? shifts are typically 3 hours, but you can chat with us and we'll sort out a schedule that suits your needs.
What? Each volunteer chooses labor that matches their talents and skills. Having fun and sharing common ground in our stewardship is the goal.
Why? Many of our volunteers are retired citizens looking for something to keep them active. Others are students working towards their extra-curricular community service hours. Boy Scouts donate time and services to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. And then others just wish to lend a hand to an organization that speaks to their personal values. These people form our community, give from their hearts and provide as fine of a model for citizenship as anywhere on earth. If you think you would like to volunteer at either of our sites, please call us at 941/575-5435, and let us know what you want to do!
