The Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, non-profit organization.... this means we serve the public good. Operating costs for our many programs are covered by grants we submit to local community foundations, government and agency programs, local businesses, and donations from generous citizens... like you. Become a "Friend of CHEC".Friends of CHEC receive the CHEC Points Newsletter in the mail & a membership card which entitles the bearer to a discount on purchases in our Nature Shop at the Alligator Creek Preserve site in Punta Gorda, Fl.
